Leigh Macpherson - Spiritual Director

Since her early 20s, Leigh has had a heart and calling for pastoral leadership. Over the years she has been called to both pastoral and leadership roles in church and para-church organisations.

During a season of pastoral burnout, Leigh had the gift of a Spiritual Director to walk the hard journey. She has a passion to continue to provide this sacred space for others in ministry, both in a preventative and restorative way. 

As well as providing Spiritual Direction, she has a passion for renewing spaces, like retreats, that support the spiritual health of those in leadership.

Whether you are in your own desert season, discerning God’s call on your life, needing some spiritual companionship in the sometimes lonely journey of leadership, or just wanting to go deeper in your spiritual walk, Leigh offers a space to connect with God in a safe, confidential environment.

In her downtime she loves family adventures with her husband and two children as they explore God’s creative world together.

Origins of Willow Tree Ministries

Trees in the Bible, as with all of God’s creation, are significant.

There are trees for knowledge, trees for healing, trees to plant, trees to  uproot.  The chasm between God and humanity occurred in a Garden of trees. In ministry, we are reminded that we are branches of a tree, abiding to the true vine  - Jesus, as we seek to be fruitful in this world. Finally, it is on the wood of a tree that true love came to this world - Jesus crucified, paying the ultimate sacrifice for all.

Like a willow tree swaying by the riverbank, Willow Tree Ministries offers a space for you to slow down, dig your roots deep and soak up the Living Water, so that you may provide shade, beauty and life to those you lead.
